Boycott Mags With Celebrity Babies on the Cover

Finally Brangelina had the twins. It's a boy and a girl. Hopefully now the gossip magazines, blogs, and television shows can move on to another subject.

What is really sickening is the amount of money that these magazines are offering the Pitts just to put these babies on the cover. Why? Because people buy these magazines in droves. Why? I really have no idea. These are babies plain and simple and that is all. Their claim to fame is that they were born to famous parents.

Let's all stop this Hollywood-baby-mania by boycotting all magazines that feature photographs of babies and/or toddlers on their covers. Let's refuse to believe that pregnancy is glamorous, and having a baby is the latest 'fad' and 'accessory', because this is what the gossip mags are selling.

This is exactly why I don't buy these magazines.

LOL, I was looking at one at the grocery store but wouldn't buy it. I am so not a gossip magazine girl but find myself torturing myself by reading the baby ones, either at the RE or in checkout lines. I find myself being happy for the older women (Nicole Kidman) but much less so for the younger women (Nicole Ritchie).

I am SO with you on this one. Just turns my stomach that gossip mags have become parenting mags.

Hey, I love gossip mags BUT the ability of the famous to hawk the photos of thier young to the highest bidder is just obscene! I don't care if the money is going to *charity*...what of the poor child's rights? Famous parents? So why should a child lose thier right to privacy from birth? Arghhh!

Oh my god.. you hit the nail right on the head regarding those rag mags. I hate them! 'Baby Bumps' is another phrase I can't stand! Being pregnant is a 'fad' with those mags... no doubt about it. **PUKE***
